Welcome to the web site for the practice. Hopefully we have made the site user friendly and informative. You can find your way around by using the menus at the top. If you would like to comment on anything to do with the website then click here to send an email.

The practice can trace its origins back over 100 years. There were originally two practices which amalgamated in 1969 with Drs Whittaker and Fowler joining Dr Bradfield in the practice on Birch Lane. This was the original Surrey Lodge building from which the present practice takes it name. The practice moved into Longsight Health Centre in 1977 and practised from there until it moved into its current premises on Anson Road in 1992. Since moving here we have developed and extended the building to provide more services to more patients.

The ground floor is fully accessible to wheelchairs users. If you have difficulty climbing stairs then please ask for the doctor to see you downstairs.

There is parking available at the surgery. Please park in the marked spaces only and not in the driveway as this causes an obstruction to other users and can hinder emergency vehicle access.

The information contained in this website is for guidance only. It is not a substitute for seeking medical advice from a doctor or nurse. Enquiries about care or medical problems will not be dealt with by email, you must telephone or visit the surgery.

Practice Policies

The following policies and guidelines are to protect both patients and staff alike. Please help us to keep the surgery a safe and happy place by complying with these policies.

  • We do not allow smoking by anyone in any part of the premises.
  • Please switch off your mobile phone whilst in the surgery. This prevents interference with some of our monitoring equipment and prevents irritation to others.
  • Please keep all children under quiet control to avoid distress to other sick patients.
  • Verbal or physical assaults on staff will be taken very seriously and police assistance sought. This will result in your immediate removal from the list.
